Fairy Fingers

My brain is whimsical and poetic. My hands are meticulous and diligent. My eyes see possibilities and solutions. And my heart is in my work.

Icon Ink

Tattoos are physical memoirs, cataloging our stories and secrets.

My personal adoration for them led me to this creative project: A set of 12, handmade computer icons inspired by traditional, vintage tattoo art.

Each icon has been painted, sketched, colored, cut, & scanned into miniature digital images.

You can purchase these at: https://www.etsy.com/listing/151090478/icon-ink-pack-of-12?ref=shop_home_active

Awesome Handmade Desktop Icons

HOLY CRAPOLA, THESE ARE INCREDIBLE. Seriously, thought of changing my standard Mac Icons to something a little more special never ever, and probably would never ever, occur to me.

Best Part…..YOU CAN BUY THIS ON ETSY!!

Seriously, I didn’t even know that you could change the pictures on the icons. Mind, completely blown. And if your mind is blown on how this is even possible, apparently it’s this loverly little app called CandyBar (click here for the free download). Who knew?! Not me!!

I don’t even know what to do with myself…. mind forever blown.

thank you so much! :-)

This set of icons for a computer interface is made entirely from handmade, paper cut-outs. Each icon has been sketched, painted, colored, cut, and finally scanned and made into digital images. I am always trying to marry handmade elements with my graphic design background.

See the icons at:

I will be making a series of icons for the Mac interface. They will all be handmade using paper, watercolors, ink, and little scissors. This is the first icon, a folder for your desktop!

I like miniature paper things, and scuba diving yetis.
